1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of SafeReq's services, platform, website, and API (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP and our Terms of Service. This AUP applies to all users, including individual account holders, organization members, and anyone accessing the Services through a customer's account.
SafeReq is an informational tool that identifies potential areas of concern in job requisitions against California employment law. It does not provide legal advice. This AUP is designed to protect the integrity, availability, and security of the Services for all users.
Violation of this AUP may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent termination of your account, removal of content, and/or legal action, at SafeReq's discretion based on the severity and nature of the violation.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services for any of the following prohibited activities:

- Infringing on the intellectual property rights of SafeReq or any third party
- Uploading or transmitting content that is illegal, defamatory, or that incites unlawful action
- Using analysis results to intentionally craft job postings designed to circumvent employment laws
2.2 Reverse Engineering and Scraping
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying logic of SafeReq's software, including the JobReqIQ analysis engine
- Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data, content, or analysis results from the Services without prior written authorization from SafeReq
- Systematically downloading, storing, or redistributing analysis results, findings, or report content beyond your authorized use

- Uploading, transmitting, or distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, worms, Trojan horses, or other harmful code
- Conducting denial-of-service attacks or generating artificially high traffic volumes intended to degrade service performance
2.4 Automated Abuse
- Using automated systems to submit analysis requests at a rate that exceeds the rate limits of your subscription tier
- Creating automated pipelines that submit job requisitions for analysis without meaningful human review of the results
- Using the Services as part of an automated workflow where the output is fed directly into another system without human oversight
- Submitting synthetic or generated documents solely to probe or map the detection capabilities of the analysis engine
2.5 Credential and Account Abuse
- Sharing your account credentials (username, password, API keys, or access tokens) with unauthorized third parties
- Allowing individuals outside your organization to use your account or your organization's seats
- Accessing or using another person's account without their explicit authorization and knowledge
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, subscription restrictions, free-tier caps, or enforcement actions
- Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information during account registration
- Creating accounts for fraudulent purposes or under false identities
2.6 Harmful Content
- Uploading documents containing viruses, malicious macros, or code designed to exploit vulnerabilities in our document processing systems
- Submitting intentionally malformed files designed to cause errors, crashes, or resource exhaustion in the analysis pipeline
- Uploading documents that contain personally identifiable information of job applicants or candidates beyond what appears in a standard job requisition
- Submitting content that is not a legitimate job requisition or employment-related document (e.g., submitting unrelated documents to consume analysis credits or test system behavior)
- Uploading excessively large files intended to overwhelm storage or processing capacity
3. Acceptable Uses
The Services are intended for the following legitimate business purposes:
- Submitting job requisitions, job descriptions, and employment-related documents for compliance analysis
- Reviewing automated analysis findings and flagged potential areas of concern
- Requesting and reviewing manual compliance specialist assessments (on applicable service tiers)
- Downloading and sharing analysis reports within your organization for internal review
- Managing job posting compliance workflows and tracking remediation within your organization
- Using analysis insights to inform internal discussions with your legal counsel or HR team
SafeReq's analysis results are informational only and should not be relied upon as legal advice. We recommend that you consult a licensed California employment attorney regarding any potential issues identified by the platform.
4. Rate Limits and Resource Usage
To maintain platform performance and availability for all users, SafeReq enforces rate limits and usage restrictions based on your subscription tier:
4.1 API and Analysis Rate Limits
- Anonymous users: Limited number of analyses per 24-hour period, with severity-level results only
- Free accounts: Limited total analysis history (10 maximum) with basic findings
- Paid accounts: Analysis limits are governed by purchased credits; each analysis consumes credits based on the plan tier
- API rate limiting applies across all tiers to prevent abuse (specific limits are communicated within your account dashboard)
4.2 Fair Use
You agree to use the Services in a manner consistent with normal business usage patterns. This means:
- Respecting the analysis quotas and rate limits associated with your subscription tier
- Not attempting to bypass or circumvent tier restrictions through technical means
- Adhering to file upload size limits as documented in your account settings
- Not reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Services or analysis outputs to third parties without written authorization from SafeReq
4.3 Excessive Usage
If your usage pattern significantly exceeds what is typical for your subscription tier or appears to be automated abuse, SafeReq may contact you to discuss your usage, temporarily throttle your requests, or require an upgrade to an appropriate tier. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking any limiting action, except where immediate action is required to protect platform stability.
5. Content Standards
All content submitted to SafeReq for analysis must meet the following standards:
- Content must be a legitimate job requisition, job description, or employment-related document intended for compliance analysis
- You must have the right and authority to submit the content for analysis (e.g., you are the hiring organization or an authorized representative)
- Content must not include personally identifiable information of job applicants or candidates beyond what normally appears in a job posting
- Content must not contain confidential information of third parties submitted without proper authorization
- Content must not be submitted solely to probe, reverse engineer, or map the capabilities of the analysis engine
You retain ownership of all content you submit. By submitting content, you grant SafeReq a limited license to process, analyze, and store the content solely for the purpose of providing the Services. SafeReq does not use submitted content to train machine learning models or for any purpose outside the scope of delivering the Services.
6. Enforcement and Account Suspension
6.1 Investigation
SafeReq reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. During an investigation, SafeReq may review usage logs, access patterns, and submitted content to determine whether a violation has occurred.
